
Ok Dulli’s out, and Kozelek is in. Mark Kozelek is like a superior version of Jimi Hendrix to me: he does some killer covers that are usually better than the originals (see Modest Mouse, AC/DC cover albums) but he also exists as an accomplished musician without said covers. Maybe the comparison falls apart there though… Anyway, here’s his cover of Paul McCartney’s “Silly Love Songs” that I think blows the original out of the water. Unfortunately there’s absolutely nothing he can do that’ll live up to the original video. Please, please, please watch it.
