The Sea And Cake: “New Schools”

So first: I’m on spring break, which means two things: one: sporadic posting for the next 10 days, and two: there’s a 1 in 3 chance that any post I manage to scrounge together relates to The Sea And Cake. The Sea And Cake: always good, never bad, and perfect for chilling it when on a break. This is a proven natural law, and just like its brother, thermodynamics, it is always true. Know this.

So second: I picked up Car Alarm (2008) by The Sea And Cake last summer but just got around to really digesting it this week. As mentioned: The Sea And Cake: always good, never bad, law, unbreakable. This one is no exception. I’d even say it’s one of their strongest releases right up there with One Bedroom and The Fawn. Check out the killer solo in “New Schools” above. I wished they’d do more of that: gettin’ all solo jazzy up in our junk.

So third: gratuitous colons.
