I am glad to have purchased both Valtari & Kveikur in a short time span. I may be talking out of my ass, but I believe that these albums were deliberately meant to offset one another. Valtari is the feeling of peace before falling asleep, while Kveikur is that stark moment of panic directly after your alarm goes off. Or maybe Valtari is like stepping on the brake a little bit as to avoid riding the bumper of the geriatric-driven Buick, while Kveikur is like passing said Buick in the slow lane without even turning on a blinker(!). Either way, enjoy the change of pace on this one.
