One of my really exciting finds of the break was Adem’s 2006 release, Love And Other Planets, which I’ve been devouring on Spotify of late. For the unfamiliar: Kieran Hebden (Four Tet) + Adem Ilhan (Adem) = Fridge (Fridge). With that connection and having Kieran Hebden on production duties for the album, it’s no surprise that it has that folktronic sound, though I’d say it falls more on the folk side of that (silly) title. All in all, it’s a fantastic album — highly recommended.
