Ok, I’d like to add Mike Kinsella aka Owen, American Football, and part of Cap’n Jazz to the list of musicians we have going that can literally do no wrong. I’ll admit that I can only listen to him when I’m in the right mood, but Cap’n Jazz was genre defining, American Football’s sole LP is a classic, and all the material under his current Owen moniker is consistently pleasing to both my ears. If you’re looking for some down-tempo but atmospheric acoustic numbers to accompany your “the-sun-sets-at-4pm-now-wtf-I-don’t-get-out-of-class-until-6pm-which-is-like-after-that-man” introspective mood, you can’t go wrong with Mike Kinsella. Just sayin’.
