SOTW: “It’s Over”

If I had to, I’d describe my listening habits as “album-oriented”. For example, I like to listen to most, if not all of an album before moving on to something new, I hate having single songs in my iTunes library, and I would take a solid album over the LP with “the hit” on it any day (for example, Vee Vee > Icky Mettle). So when “It’s Over” by The Fire Theft (aka 3/4’s of Sunny Day Real Estate) has 65 plays (going on 66…) and the next highest play count on the album is at 13, it must be a good track. The delivery of the first line when the bass comes in followed by that semi-yell growl thing at the end of the first verse gets me every time.
