Frightened Rabbit: Pedestrian Verse

fr2

So it seems the tracks have been resurrected with a whole new set of leet buffs and a shiny new trinket.  The guild leader must have a new muffler.

One of the “undergrad albums” (totally cool for making it clear I’m now in grad school) that never got old for me was Midnight Organ Fight, so I was pleased when I learned of Pedestrian Verse.  I purchased the album earlier this Spring, but never really gave it the due diligence a Frightened Rabbit LP deserves because of some iPod issues that prevented daily office access.  Anywho, this summer I have been limited to my library of online purchases, because of a fried hard drive on my old mac-pro, which has resulted in listening to Long Dry Cold,  Take Care…, Allelujah! Don’t Bend! Ascend! and Pedestrian Verse on repeat for a month.  As 3/4 of the aforementioned albums have already had a shining moment on the Tracks, here’s to the 4/4.

I think this album is better than “meh” but not quite”ya!” or something like that.  There are a few highlights like “Acts of Man”, “State Hospital”, and “The Oil Slick”, but nothing quite as good as “Good Arms”.  I’m still happy I got the album though.

PS: Bill is still waiting.

PSS: When do I use italics, and when do I use apostrophes?

  1. Billiam is on my list.

I usually use italics for albums, bold for band, and apostrophes for song titles, but use whatever suits your fancy.

    Also, I like the track.
